The Oakland Literacy Council provides personalized, relationship-driven instruction for those that need to improve their skills to take advantage of higher education or training programs. We provide one-on-one tutors, small group instruction, and an online curriculum. We even have a specialized curriculum for those who have reading disabilities. Currently, all instruction is conducted virtually. Laptops and Internet Access are available if needed.
The services are free but there is a $25 initial testing fee. Those referred by OCC receive a $5 discount on this fee.
After the following information is submitted, an Oakland Literacy representative will contact the referral and arrange for an initial testing appointment (which can be conducted in the Oakland Literacy office or virtually).
